O presente artigo foi realizado a partir da análise da obra “Senhora”, de José de Alencar, o romance é uma crítica do autor a decadência de valores da sociedade no segundo império. A obra é dividida em quatro capítulos: “O preço, Quitação, Posse e Resgate".
