As entrevistas serão conduzidas nas residências e serviços de Maceió (AL), Foz de Iguaçú (PR). Entrevistas serão conduzidas em uma área silenciosa e privada, e garantidas que não sejam interrompidas. Serão utilizados três guias para facilitar o desenvolvimento das entrevistas com cada um dos três grupos selecionados: (a) Mães e pais com recém-nascidos com microcefalia; (b) Mulheres em idade reprodutiva; (c) Profissionais de saúde.
