Os textos, tanto orais quanto escritos, que têm o objetivo de estabelecer algum tipo de comunicação, possuem algumas características básicas que fazem com que possamos saber em qual gênero textual o texto se encaixa. Nessa pesquisa o foco é a escrita.
O gênero textual é a forma como a língua é empregada nos textos em suas diversas situações de comunicação, de acordo com o seu uso temos gêneros textuais diferente
