Há dois tipos de motivação a intrínseca e a extrínseca. Na extrínseca o aluno desempenha uma atividade ou tarefa interessado em recompensa ou para evitar alguma punição , esse aluno não está interessado no conteúdo das aulas, as atividades ou tarefas são realizadas a fim de agradar na maioria das vezes os pais ou professores, cumpre seu papel de educando por obrigação.Já um aluno intrinsecamente motivado, ele desempenha suas atividades e tarefas com a finalidade de crescer , de realmente adquirir conhecimento.Portanto não há ensino aprendizagem sem motivação.
