A obra gótica e de terror Dracula foi escrita em mil oitocentos e noventa sete, pelo irlandês Bram Stoker. O livro conta a história de Jonathan Harker, um advogado inglês, casado com Mina, que vai à Transilvânia fechar negócios imobiliários com o Conde Dracula.
A Transilvânia é uma região montanhosa localizada na Romênia, oeste europeu.
O vampiro desejou comprar uma casa na Inglaterra, então chamou Jonathan ao seu castelo. Durante um passeio pelo castelo, que Dracula não recomendava durante a noite, o advogado dormiu fora de seu quarto, o que era expressamente proibido pelo Conde, e teve alucinações com três mulheres vampiras.
