O fato de ainda usarmos o combustível mesmo sendo um dos maiores poluentes ambientais, é porque seria a forma mais viável tanto em aspectos econômicos quanto em aspectos tecnológicos, os meios para conseguirmos manter um carro elétrico é totalmente arriscado no momento, a recarga das baterias consumiriam uma grande porcentagem de energia, sem contar que o dinheiro para manter essa energia é de grande escala. Para que um carro elétrico seja montado, necessita-se de materiais derivados de um carro normal, que no qual esses materiais possuem um grande custo para que sejam feitos e não compensaria o dinheiro gasto.
